Mr. and Mrs. Vern Hawley, 701 New Beford Road, West Middlesex, will celebrate their 50th anniversary with an open house from 4 to 8 p.m. April 13 in Hermitage Fire Hall on Maple Street.
Mr. Hawley and the former Fumiko Nishizato were married March 6, 1958, in Okinawa, Japan.
He retired from Perry Brothers Coal Co. and owns Hickory Speedway.
Mrs. Hawley retired after 37 years of service from Radisson Hotel of Sharon, Shenango Township.
They have three sons, Richard Hawley, Dallas, Pa.; Rick Hawley, Louisville, Ohio; and Jim Hawley, West Middlesex.
Nine grandchildren complete the family.
