Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fusco, 975 Robertson Road, Hermitage, celebrated 50 years of marriage July 13, 2008, with a trip to Las Vegas. Upon their return, they had a surprise celebration at the Mercer County Shrine Club picnic grounds in Hermitage.

Fusco and the former Stephanie Albanese were married July 13, 1958. They were betrothed and married in Avella, Italy, in St. Peter’s Church.

Mrs. Fusco came to the United States in 1958 and worked for American Laundry in downtown Sharon from 1958 until her husband was able to get a visa to come to America in 1962.

Fusco worked as a barber from 1962 to 1965 at Zupo Barber Shop in Sharon. He then took a job from 1965 through 1976 at National Malleable as a core maker. Shortly before retiring from the mill, and since then, he has been self-employed in local restaurant businesses and real estate investments.

They are parents of Mary Ann Trinchese, Frank Fusco, Joe Fusco and Jennifer Kraynak, all of Hermitage. Ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren complete the family.
