Bill and Ruth Cairey, 218 S. Kerrwood Drive, Hermitage, celebrated their 60th anniversary with a dinner, hosted by their children, at Springfield Grille, Boardman, Ohio, on Oct. 4.

The former Ruth Perrine and Cairey were married Sept. 25, 1948, in Farrell United Methodist Church.

Cairey is a retired supervisor from Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp.

Mrs. Cairey is a homemaker and previously worked as a secretary for Westinghouse.

Cairey is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 810, Hermitage, where he was the treasurer for 13 years. 

The Caireys enjoy gardening, playing cards and spending time with their grandchildren. hey have both been members of many bowling, bocce and golf leagues over the years. They are members of Hickory United Methodist Church.

Their children are: Scott and Jean Miller Cairey, Dallas; Candy Cairey Bertmeyer, Howland, Ohio; and James and Gail Cairey Cellini, Pittsburgh.

Four grandchildrenm Jacki Bertmeyer Rusch, Kim Bertmeyer, Luke Cellini and Rachel Cellini complete the family.
