Major and Mrs. William Quick of the Salvation Army give coffee to flood workers in Sharon during the January 1959 flood. With 30 inches of water in the Salvation Army citadel at Pitt Street and Shenango Avenue, crews worked out of the Quick home on Jefferson Avenue to staff two canteens. After a week they had served 1,500 cups of coffee, 600 sandwiches and 480 doughnuts to workers and evacuees.
