Four Mercer County matmen won PIAA State AA semifinal matches Friday night to earn spots in Saturday afternoon's finals.
Advancing were: Reynolds' Dylan D'Urso (132) and Austin Matthews (138), Greenville's Cody Copeland (152) and Grove City's Wes Phipps (182). Matthews, Copeland and Phipps were all finalists in 2011, but lost. D'Urso is a 3-time state place-winner in his first finals.
Wrestling Saturday in consolation matches for medals are Greenville's Randy Perkins (160) and Tyler Landfried (182), and Reynolds' Blake Heim (285).

After a marathon meeting, the Penn State Board of Trustees announced that it has fired coach Joe Pterno, effective immediately, and that President Graham Spanier has resigned.
Former Y-103 radio personality Scott Kennedy was sentenced to 51 months in jail in federal court, Pittsburgh, today. The U.S. attorney's office in Pittsburgh charged Kennedy of Hermitage in May with having 238 images of child porn. The total included three videos, which equal 225 photos, as well as 13 regular photos. Family, friends and co-workers had sought leniency.
PNC Bank in Sharpsville was robbed this morning by a knife-toting man, possibly in his mid-20s, with a mask pulled over his head. Authorities believe the getaway car, which may involve another driver, was headed toward neighboring South Pymatuning Township.
