SHARON — More than 70 friends and family members joined Trinity Living Center residents David “Monte” and Becky Montgomery to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. A large anniversary party was held to honor the couple on Sept. 25 at Trinity Living Center’s Oak Grove Diner, Grove City.

Monte and Becky were married Sept. 21, 1960, at Plain Grove Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock. The couple met on Broad Street in Grove City when Becky wandered over to admire a beautiful pink Lincoln convertible.

Becky worked for 25 years as a nurse’s aide at the former Bashline Hospital in Grove City, while Monte was a shipping clerk for P. Wall Manufacturing. Later, Monte opened his own truck garage where he worked as a diesel mechanic until he retired.

Prior to moving into Trinity Living Center, the Montgomerys lived in Pine Township.

Their children are: Ronald Montgomery, Michelle Cravener and the late David Montgomery. Three grandchildren complete the family
