Bruckers mark 50 years

---- — Clair and Dorothy Brucker, Mercer, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 31, 2010, with a dinner party given by their children at the home of their son. They will renew their vows today at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Mercer.

The former Dorothy Sobula and Mr. Brucker were married on June 18, 1960, at Our Lady of Victory Church, Harwick, Pa.

Mrs. Brucker was a licensed practical nurse prior to retiring in 1995. She enjoys baking, reading, sewing, spending time with her grandchildren and traveling.

Mr. Brucker was a dock worker/truck driver before retiring in 1997. He enjoys gardening, traveling and working in his yard.

Their children are Bridget Shaginaw and her husband, Mark, Harwick; Brenda Minor and her husband, Bob, Grove City; Clair and his wife, Lisa, Colbert, Wash.; Sharon Harrilla and her husband, Joe, Hardy, Va.; and Shawn and his wife, Anta, New Castle.

They have nine grandchildren, Martin Shearer; Max and Alex Shaginaw; Noah, Eden and Chloe Harrilla; Montana and Cheyanne Minor; and Lainey Brucker; and one great-grandchild, Lily Shearer.
