Victoria “Vicki” Ward and Brian Peterson, of Olathe, Kan., were married at 2 p.m. on May 29, 2010 in St. Joseph Church, Sharon. The wedding Mass was concelebrated by Rev. J. Thomas Dugan and the Rev. Glenn Whitman.
The bride is a daughter of George and Adrianne Ward, Sharon.
The groom is a son of Daryl and Velma Peterson, Stanton, Iowa.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her parents.
Greeters were Janine and Dennis Tesla, sister and brother-in-law of the bride.
Readers were Kay Ward and Marilyn Stanislaw, aunts of the bride.
The offertory gifts were presented by Debbie, Bryan, Jack, and Michael Rogan, sister, brother-in-law and nephews of the bride.
Witnesses were Cathy Green, friend of the bride, and Neil Peterson, brother of the groom.
Mary Messina was soloist, accompanied by Nancy Rehner, music director at St. Joseph.
A wedding reception and dinner were held in the home of the bride’s parents.
Vicki is a graduate of John Carroll University, Cleveland, Ohio, with a master’s in mathematics. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a system development actuary for Actuarial Resources Corp. in Overland Park, Kan.
Brian graduated from Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville with a bachelor’s in computer science and graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, with a master’s in computer science. Brian is a technical trainer and website developer.
The couple is planning a September honeymoon to Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks.
