Award thanks Sharon teachers for influence

SHARON — “Remember to Thank a Teacher” is the theme for Sharon High School’s annual Elizabeth McMullen and Anna Grace Smith Teacher Appreciation Award.

Sharon Middle and High School students and alumni are asked to remember a teacher who influenced them and write a letter recommending the teacher for the award. The teacher must still be on the staff at the school.

The winner, chosen by a three-person panel, will receive about $1,500. The decision will be based on quality of reasoning of letters and number of letters for each candidate
