• Sawhill retirees meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sharon American Legion.

• AARP Chapter 3616 will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Shenango Valley Senior Center, 220 N. Buhl Farm Drive, Hermitage.

Blood pressure readings will be available for members beginning at 12:30 p.m. prior to the meeting by McGonigle Ambulance Personel.

The speaker will be Jeanne Hinks from The Right Sort, a local packing and organizaing company.

At the annual picnic Aug. 6, Jim Schneider will be the guest and will talk about native-American artifacts.

• Sharon High School class of 1949 gathers for lunch at noon May 13 in Thunder Alley of Quaker Steak and Lube.

• The Northeastern Democrat Committee will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Okay Corral, 4 Railroad St., Stoneboro.

• Farrell High School class of 1949 meets for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s restaurant, Hermitage.

• Midwestern Local Task Force-Right to Education meets from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV conference room A, Grove City.

This meeting is open to all parents with children with disabilities. Info: 724-458-6700, Ext. 207.

Fundraisers

• Shenango Valley Children’s Transplant Fund will hold it 22nd annual dinner May 15 at Avalon Golf and Country Club at Sharon, 1030 Forker Blvd., Sharon.
