Farrell area schools having pool programs
FARRELL — These classes are running through May 28 in Farrell Area School District’s swimming pool:
Infant and toddler lessons — 5:10 to 5:45 p.m. Mondays; may cancel if not enough people register.
American Red Cross swim lessons — Levels I through III, 5 to 5:50 p.m.; and Levels IV through VI, 6 to 6:45 p.m., all Mondays and Wednesdays. Costs are $25 for Farrell and Wheatland residents; $30 for non-residents.
Water aerobics and arthritis therapy, sessions I and II — 7 to 7:55 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Costs are $25 for Farrell and Wheatland residents; $30 for non-residents.
Lifeguard training course — 6 to 8 p.m., started April 2. Saturdays may be used. There is a fee.
Adult lessons — 7 to 7:55 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Costs are $25 for Farrell and Wheatland residents; $30 for non-residents.

Candlelight vigil for those with eating disorders
HERMITAGE — The third annual National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders candlelight vigil will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Founders Room of Church of Notre Dame, 2325 Highland Road, Hermitage.
The event helps raise awareness of eating disorders and promotes a positive self-image through the “Accept Yourself ... Accept Others” theme. The group supports those suffering, those in recovery emphasizing recovery is possible, and remembers those whose lives were lost to the disease.
Dr. Maria Snyder will speak about healthy steps toward a positive attitude. Chris Panin will speak about the effects of massage therapy and the successful treatment of anorexia and bulimia.
