Meetings

• Sharon Tube Co. Retirees meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sharpsville American Legion.
• Farrell High School class of 1947 gathers at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Perkins Restaurant, 2945 E. State St., Hermitage.
• Young at Heart Fellowship will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church’s Calvin Hall, Greenville.
Members should take their own table service, and a food item of their choice, such as a salad, covered dish or dessert to share with a few others. Beverages will be provided.
Visitors are welcome and need not bring anything.
Light entertainment will be enjoyed.
Special events

• Animal Appeal, a pet education and rescue organization, has a selection of cats seeking responsible adopters. The cats can be seen daily at Hermitage Agway, 4065 E. State St.
All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and more. An adoption fee is charged. Animal Appeal uses an application form for all adoptions.

• The eighth annual Venture Outdoors Festival is 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today in Pittsburgh.
The free festival offers kayaking, canoeing, fishing, yoga, biking, climbing and more. There is also a boat shuttle, music and food.
Water taxis will shuttle participants between Millvale Riverfront Park and Washington’s Landing on Herr’s Island.

Reunion

• All Farrell High School class reunion chairmen are asked to contact the Farrell Area School District Alumni Association with information regarding their reunions to publish in the spring newsletter. Either mail the information to FADS Alumni Association, Box 94, Farrell 16121 or call Carol Stefanak Ulan at 724-981-8113.
Fundraiser

• Tower Presbyterian Church, 248 S. Broad St., Grove City, will host a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. today. Grove City Barbershop Society will sing from 4 to 6 p.m.
Takeouts available.
Tickets are $6 for adults, $3.50 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for children younger than 5. They are available in the church office and at Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce, 119 S. Broad St.
Proceeds help the church’s evangelism committee.
