Mercer County Senior Centers, divisions of Mercer County Area Agency on Aging Inc., announce activities for June.
The Mercer County Senior Games, sponsored by Mercer County Area Agency on Aging Inc. and others, is slated for June 7-13, for persons age 50 and older. Events include track and field, at the track, and basketball in the gym, both June 7 at Hickory High School, Hermitage; horseshoes, June 9 in Riverside Park, Greenville; shuffleboard, June 10 at McQuiston Center by the Park, Sandy Lake; bowling, June 11 at the Bowlodrome, Grove City; racquetball, June 12 at F.H. Buhl Club, Sharon; and golf, June 13 at Pine Hill Golf Course, Greenville. For information and registration, call 1-800-570-6222.
Healthy Steps for Older Adults programs will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. June 24, Riverview Manor, Sharon; June 25, Grove City Senior Center; and June 26, Mertz Towers, Sharpsville.

McQuiston Center by the Park, 29 Railroad St.:
Seniors will depart at 9:15 a.m. June 19 for a trip to Jamestown to arrive at 10 a.m. at Deer Park and 12:30 p.m., Jamestown Soap Works to soak your feet in the gardens and shop free. Participants must bring your own pan and towel. Costs are $5.50, park admission; $1, animal food cost; $2, box lunch; and $3, transit fee. Registration is needed.
Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program for those meeting income requirements begins July 1 with vouchers available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
