Special events
• Club Pet Adoption presents “Specdogular Adoption Day!” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Dog Park, Hermitage.
Club Pet Adoption will have many dogs and cats available for adoption plus vendors, a Chinese auction and refreshments.

• The 15th annual Juneteenth 2009 will be held from noon to dusk June 20 at Veterans Square, Federal Street between Darr and Spearman, Farrell.
Parade lineup at 9 a.m. with the parade beginning at 10:30 a.m. A youth talent show will be held at 6 p.m. All talents welcome.
Visitors should bring their own chairs and seating blankets to enjoy the day.
The event is sponsored by Minority Health Center/ERASE Anti-Drug Coalition. Info: 724-981-3856.

Meetings
• Young at Heart Fellowship will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. June 16 in First Presbyterian Church, 323 Main St., Greenville.
Entertainment is “Music by Mike” and David E. Frew will talk about “The Hindu Temple” which he has toured.
Members should bring table service and a covered dish, salad or dessert to share. Meat, rolls and beverages will be provided. Everyone welcome.
• Sharon High School class of 1942 will meet at 1 p.m. June 16 at Short Stop Restaurant, New Wilmington.
• Farrell High School class of 1959 reunion committee will meet at 7 p.m. June 17 at Farrell Italian Home. All classmates are urged to attend.

Fundraisers
• Strayhaven Animal Shelter, Hempfield Township, is accepting good, used items for its annual yard sale. Pickup is available.

• New and Living Way Church, will host a Father’s Day special buffet from 2 to 5 p.m. June 21 in the fellowship hall of the church, 927 Lee Ave., Farrell.
Dinner includes turkey and stuffing, ham, roast beef, pork roast, wing dings, potato salad, rice, pasta, mac and cheese, candid yams, greens, stringbeans, dessert, beverage and more.
Cost is $7 for seniors, $8.50 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.

Classes
• American Red Cross will hold a “Blood Borne Pathogens” class at 6 p.m. June 30 in the Sharpsville office, 517 W. Main St.

Kids stuff
• Pat Catan’s, 3380 E. State St., Hermitage, will hold “Jungle Safari” Kids Camp June 22-26 and July 6-10 with morning and afternoon sessions.
Children will create a different jungle-themed project each day of the week. Cost is $3 per session and includes all craft supplies and a snack.

Bus trip
• Penn Power retirees of Clark will travel Sept. 20-24 for a five-day, four-night bus trip with lodging in Wildwood, N.J.
Visit Cape May’s unique shops plus the boardwalk and casino in Atlantic City and much more.
