Blood drives for week of July 21, 2008

— In July and August donors to the Greater Alleghenies Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross could be among six individuals to win up to $2,400 in free gasoline.
Anyone who donates blood or platelets from July 1 through Aug. 31 will automatically be entered in a grand prize drawing for a year’s supply of gas, valued at $2,400, or one of five $100 gas cards.
Mercer County Chapter of the American Red Cross will hold these blood drives this week:
• Noon to 6 p.m. Monday at Shenango Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars post home, 439 E. State St., Sharon. Heroes honoring heroes, special prizes and sign a map for the local National Guard.
• Noon to 6 p.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 3325 Morefield Road, Hermitage.
The blood drives are open to the community. To make appointments, call 800-GIVELIFE.

Central Blood Bank will hold these blood drives this week:
• Noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday at 12 Pine Grove Village Drive, Pine Township.
• Noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Greenville Plaza West, Hempfield Township.
• Noon to 7 p.m. Thursday at 12 Pine Grove Village Drive, Pine Township.
• 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in Greenville Plaza West, Hempfield Township.
