Meetings

• Sharon Steel Retirees will meet at noon Thursday for lunch, fellowship and bingo in Sharon American Legion Post 299, East State Street, Sharon. The Herald listed the wrong date in Wednesday’s paper.

All hourly Sharon Steel retirees are welcome.

• Grove City Area AARP 3423 will hold its noon luncheon Aug. 14 at the Keystone Shelter in Grove City Memorial Park.

Program will be bingo so please take 10 dimes.

The meeting is open to anyone older than age 50.

Those attending are asked to take a hot or cold dish, your own table service and beverage.

AARP board will meet at 11 a.m. in the Keystone Shelter before the lunch and meeting.

• Wimodausis will gather at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 11 for its monthly meeting in the Scottish Rite Cathedral, New Castle.

There will be another musical program.

Reservations: Dorothy Bort, Fairmont Avenue, or Judy Barron, East Maitland Lane, both New Castle, by Sunday.

Special event

• Mercer Area Library will hold a Patron Appreciation Day from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 14. The library staff would like to thank community members with cake and punch for their patronage and support during the last year.
