STONEBORO –– Emmanuel Christian Church, 4495 Greenville-Sandy Lake Road, Stoneboro, will have Pass It On Day from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. today. There will be free clothing for men, women, children and infants, all ages and sizes, as well as free household items, including furniture and furnishings. Free coffee and donuts will be served. Sharon Regional to BEGIN new program
HERMITAGE — A new breast cancer recovery program starts Tuesday in Sharon Regional Health System’s Breast Care Center in the Diagnostic and Imaging Center, 2435 Garden Way in Hermitage.
The BEGIN program benefits breast cancer patients who are undergoing treatment or were recently diagnosed. Participants receive information, have a chance to interact with staff and other participants and attend yoga sessions from 10:30 a.m. to noon or 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. BEGIN, which complements patients’ treatment plans, is offered at no charge.

Volant Pumpkin Fest is this weekend
VOLANT -- Volant Village’s annual autumn Pumpkin Festival events today and Sunday include: Hayrides, apple butter making, a bee keeper and harvest market, crafts, pumpkin bowling, a chili cookoff (11 to 4 p.m. today), a polka band (1 to 4 p.m. today), a ghost tour (7:30 p.m. today; call 724-533-2234 for reservations; $5).
Sunday special events include a fall tea (call 533-2450 for reservations), a baking contest (noon to 2 p.m. at the Kitchen Shoppe) and samples and demos at noon and 1 at the Kitchen Shoppe. Stores will be open starting at 10 a.m.
