Kids stuff
• The Thiel College Student Affiliate Chapter of the American Chemical Society is hosting its annual “Kids & Chemistry” program to spark interest in chemistry in children in grades 4-6 from local elementary schools from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Academic Center, room 100, at Thiel College, 75 College Ave., Greenville.
There will be exciting demonstrations and fun hands-on activities in which children can participate, including making slime and silly putty, chemistry games and building pop rockets.
The event is free.

• Mercer County Family Center presents a “Little Learners” Book Club for parents and children ages 1 and 2 in the Greenville, Reynolds, Commodore Perry and Jamestown school districts. This book club will focus on the importance of early literacy skills and will include a craft, activities, and story time. This four-session book club will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Nov. 10, Jan. 12, March 9 and May 11 at Greenville Public Library.
Every family will receive a free book at each session.

Seminar
• The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7465 is holding a seminar on Social Security from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at 1470 Brent Road, Volant.
A speaker from the Social Security Administration will present information, followed by a question-and-answer session.
Directions: From Grove City, just past the Grove City Outlet Mall, turn left onto Veterans Road. Follow Veterans Road approximately 1è miles. Veterans Road dead ends in front of the Post.
