Rebecca Kiessling will speak at Pro-Life event
HERMITAGE – Pro-Life of Mercer County’s 12th Annual Prayer Breakfast will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 8 in Hickory Veterans of Foreign Wars’ Normandy Banquet Center, 5550 E. State St., Hermitage.
Rebecca Kiessling, a semi-retired Christian lawyer, will speak. She focuses all her legal efforts in the fight against abortion. She has litigated numerous high-profile cases, fighting for women’s rights as well as the rights of unborn children.
Kiessling has appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” CNN’s “Talk Back Live” and CBS News.
Adopted and raised by a Jewish family, Kiessling learned at age 18 that she was the unwanted child of a serial rapist. When she met her birth mother, she was confronted with the news that had abortions been legal at the time of her conception, she would have been aborted. In fact, her birth mother had visited several back-alley, illegal abortionists in an attempt to end her unborn child’s life.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children. Call Kathy Jack, 724-264-4439; or Joan Walker, 724-962-1402, by Feb. 5.
