Career Center names top seniors in class of 2014

MERCER COUNTY — McKenzie McNatt and Jacob Heim were named outstanding seniors for 2014 at Mercer County Career Center.

The school in Coolspring Township selects a senior student from each session for the award, based on attendance, leadership, participation in extracurricular activities, community service, and contributions to the school community.     

McNatt, a daughter of Kim McNatt, Hermitage and David McNatt, Sharpsville, received the honor for the morning session. A student in the early childhood education program, she is a senior at Hickory High School, Hermitage.

She plans to attend Butler County Community College.     

Heim, a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Heim, Stoneboro, was named outstanding senior for the afternoon session. He is a student in the welding program and a senior at Lakeview High School.

He plans to seek employment where he can use his welding skills and to pursue his interest in farming.
