• St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 2140 Highland Road, Hermitage, will hold a garage/bake sale from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday ($1 a bag day) in the church center.

• Barkeyville United Methodist Church is having a ham loaf dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. June 20.

Menu includes scalloped potatoes, vegetable, dessert and beverage.

Cost is by donation.

Special events

• The Wilmington Township, Mercer County, Civic League will award the 14th annual scholarship to the 2014 winners, Julie Sommers and Samantha Shugars, at the picnic meeting at 6 p.m. June 17 at the municipal building, 35 Auction Road, New Wilmington.

The Civic League will provide meat, dessert and beverage.

Residents are asked to take a side dish/casserole and table serve.
