- — Wheatland Legion Auxiliary

WHEATLAND - President Debbie Taylor, president, led American Legion Auxiliary Unit 432 of Wheatland in reading the Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Marlene Gaggini, secretary, read communications.

The unit accepted five new members; reported 152 community service hours; and donated to West Middlesex High School music department, Hickory High School drama department, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and Operation Military Kids Creative Arts Festival.

They draped the charter in memory of a deceased member.

Grove City Women

GROVE CITY - Grove City Woman’s Club held a holiday craft show and made plans for the new club year.

They discussed the annual luncheon fashion show, “Let’s Celebrate,” to be held April 26 in The Legacy banquet center, Pine Township. Each table will reflect a holiday or theme.

Other upcoming events include:

• Feb. 6 - meeting with Patrick Hassler providing toe-tapping music.

• Feb. 21 - annual soup sale with potato soup at $5 a quart and $2.50 a pint; and vegetable, $6 a quart and $3 a pint. Call 724-458-9319.

• March -- annual pie sale with apple walnut caramel, peach, pecan, verry berry, lemon meringue, chocolate and coconut cream, all $9 each. Call 724-748-6166.

All fundraiser proceeds will benefit Grove City community organizations.

Guests may attend meetings held at 1:30 p.m. the first Thursday of the month in East Main Presbyterian Church’s fellowship hall.
