Buhl Community Recreation Center activities

SHARON — • Hoarder sale, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 21 in the BCRC top parking lot. Bring your tables and tarps. Cost is $10 for any size space. Event held rain or shine. No dealer will be permitted to sell knives of any size or shape, guns (new, used, or antique), brass knuckles, night sticks, martial arts weapons, etc. To register, call 724-981-3700 ext. 108.

• Summer dance session 1

Preschool dance for ages 3-4, 5 to 5:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Cost is $30.

Beginner ballet and tap for ages 5-7, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays (today and Wednesday, and June 16 and 18). Cost is $30.

Intermediate ballet, tap and jazz for ages 8-12, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays (today and Wednesday, and June 16 and 18). Cost is $30.

Adult beginner ballet class, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays (Tuesday and Thursday, and June 17 and 19). Cost is $30.

• Summer cheerleading with Courtney O’Rourke for ages 5, 6-8 and 9-12 from 11 a.m. to noon, Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning July 8. Cost is $50.

• Twirling Angels Summer Baton Clinic with Missy Colbert, owner/instructor of Twirling Angels, 10:30 to noon June 30, July 1 and 2.

Cost is $20 for members and $30 for non-members

• Yankee Lake Truck Night and Buhl Community Recreation Center presents The Strongest Man on the Block, 6 p.m. July 18 at Yankee Lake Truck Night. Registration at 5:15 p.m. Awards given to first through fifth place. Cost in advance is $20 and the night of the contest $25. Preregistration at BCRC by July 11; after that you must enter the night of the event. Info: Emil DeBonis, 724-981-3700

• Summer Gymnastics, 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning July 8 for ages 5, 6 to 8 and 9 to 12.

• Four-week Preschool Camp, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning July 7 for ages 3 and 4. Cost is $35. Class is limited to eight students. Students will get an intro to gymnastics, motor skills, obstacle courses, art, games and music. During the four-week course your child will develop using their fine/gross motor skills and get first-hand experience in problem-solving through trial and error. Students will use their creativity through sensory awareness while they engage in art, sand and water play. The students also will expand language through social and cognitive development.

• Red Cross Swim summer session registration is 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. July 1.

Levels 1, 2 and 3 are from 5 to 5:50 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, July 7 through July 30.

Levels 4, 5 and 6 will be 6 to 6:50 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, July 7 through July 30.

• Sea glass jewelry class, 11 a.m. July 12. This four-week session instructs how to create various type of jewelry with instructor Erin Auld. Register by calling 724-981-3700, ext. 108.
