23 vocalists reach Rising Stars semifinals

GREENVILLE — Greenville Symphony Orchestra conducted auditions for the 2014 Rising Stars vocal competition recently at Passavant Center, Thiel College.

Twenty-three vocalists will continue on to the semifinal round at 7 p.m. March 15, where 18 will be selected by celebrity judges to compete in the final round at 7 p.m. April 12. These entertaining performances are open to the public for a nominal entrance fee. Rising Stars is a fundraiser for the orchestra.
