• A gigantic garage sale will be held Saturday in the cafeteria of Hickory High School, Route 18, Hermitage. Doors open at 9 a.m. Fill a bag for a $1 will be noon to 1 p.m.

Items are clean and organized according to groups: Furniture, clothing/shoes, glassware/dishes, holiday items, exercise equipment, toys/books/CDs, movies, frames/pictures, and many more.

Proceeds benefit the Hickory Hornet track and field program.


• Farrell High School class of 1950 meets at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Quaker Steak & Lube, Sharon.
