HERMITAGE – Virginia Darcangelo will celebrate her 90th birthday SaturdayMarch 29 with a card shower.

Christian homeschoolers group to perform plays

PERRY TOWNSHIP – Greenville Area Christian Homeschoolers will perform two short plays at 7 p.m. April 4 in Perry Baptist Church, 3020 Hadley Road, Perry Township.

The younger members of the group will present “Aesop's Fables,” while the older members will stage “Stopping at Ellis Island.”

A reception with refreshments for cast and audience alike follows the plays. Admission is free but donations will be accepted.

Fisher’s ‘True Crime Stories’ at Westminster

NEW WILMINGTON – True Crime Stories: An Evening with Jim Fisher begins at 6 p.m. Monday at Westminster College Witherspoon Room, 319 S. Market St., New Wilmington.

Fisher, a graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School and former FBI agent, has taught criminal investigation, law and forensic science at Edinboro University. An active public speaker and author of seven books, he has been nominated twice for the Mystery Writers of America’s Edgar Allan Poe Award. Through his art of criminal investigation, homicides have been solved, false convictions overturned and pardons granted.
