Home for Holidays today

- — The merchant hospitality this year includes refreshments and store giveaways, plus holiday specials. Each participating business will host a prize worth at least $25, and everyone signing up will be eligible for one of the grand prize gift baskets – one full of $10 gift certificates and the other with $15 gift certificates from the participating businesses.  

Participating businesses will have a bow on their doors during the event. There will be strolling entertainment and in-store music.

The Grove City Community Food Pantry, at 114 S. Center St., will be handing out cookies and punch to visitors from 1 to 4 p.m. Please bring a canned food donation for your favorite tree in the Parade of Trees, till Dec. 15 in participating businesses.

Wendell August has made an ornament that features the Guthrie Theatre. Half of the proceeds will benefit the digital projector fund. They will go on sale today at the Broad Street theater during the downtown Grove City open house.   

Nancy’s Hair Loft is celebrating a 30-year anniversary, and visitors can enjoy music there from noon to 5 p.m., as well as pictures with Santa from 1 to 2 p.m.

From 1 to 4 p.m. at b’gifted, 216 S. Broad St., Grove City author Leann Smith will sign copies of her book, “My Snowman and Me.”

Santa will visit Kritter Kreations.

Grace Methodist Church Family Ministries will offer refreshments and a small gift to those who stop by Tower Presbyterian Church, 248 S. Broad St., will host the annual train display from 1 to 4 p.m.
