Ex-V&V editor to speak to College club

SHARON — The College Club of Sharon meets for a noon luncheon Saturday at Montana’s Chop & Steak House, Hermitage.

Sherris Moreira, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., and New Wilmington, will speak on “Women in Communication.” She is the director of marketing and tourism development with Rivers of Steel National Heritage Area and director of their receptive division, Rivers of Steel Heritage Tours.

She is a former editor of Views and Voices, a women’s magazine published by The Herald. She is also vice president of Destination: Greater Pittsburgh, a group tourism promotional organization in the Pittsburgh region; a marketing committee member of Heritage, Pa., a statewide representative organization that promotes the 12 heritage areas in Pennsylvania; and a board member of the Westminster College Alumni Association in New Wilmington.

Ms. Moreira will be introduced by Sharon Sorg, publisher of The Herald.

No reservations are needed for the luncheon. Members and guests will order from the menu.
