• Farrell High School class of 1961 meets for lunch at noon July 21 at Papa Louie’s, 7172 Warren-Sharon Road, Brookfield, near Mr. D’s.

Spouses and friends are welcome.

• Mercer County Chapter 55 of the Disabled American Veterans will hold their regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at Sharon Veterans of Foreign Wars, 439 E. State St., Sharon.

•Farrell High School class of 1947 meets at 12:30 p.m. July 24 at Ferrara’s Taste of Italy Restaurant, 869 E. State St., Sharon.

Meetings are held the fourth Thursday of each month. Locations are determined at each meeting.

No reservations necessary.

Special event

• French Creek Archaeological Society holds its 24th Annual Indian Artifact Show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 2 in the social hall of St. Philip Catholic Church, Linesville.

Displays and items for sale: Indian artifacts, fossils, minerals, historical items, books, display cases, flint knapping supplies, atlatl’s and spears.

Demonstrations on flint knapping and spear throwing.

Take your artifacts and fossils for identification.

Admission is $3 for adults; ages 12 and younger are free.

The church is located one mile north of Linesville Spillway on the right.

• Stony Point Grange 1694 hosts their annual homemade ice cream supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Grange hall, 69 Kremis Road, Greenville.

Ice cream is sold by two to four scoops with toppings; combo meal is offered with hot or cold sandwich, small salad, two scoops of ice cream with piece of cake for $5.

• The Dorcas Society of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Morefield Road, Hermitage, is having a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the church fellowship hall.

They will also have food items and fresh made donuts available.


• West Middlesex High School class of 1964 holds its 50th reunion Aug. 23 at Normany Banquet Center in the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Hermitage.

Addresses are needed for Tom Herron, Bruce Gilchrist and Vicky Steel.
