Little Free Library to open

VOLANT AREA — Plain Grove Township will host the first Little Free Library north of Sewickley.

It is a box filled with books for adults and children. Folks can take a book to read. Then they can keep it and return a different book to the box or they can return the book to the box. It is a great way to promote literacy among communities.

Dave Firek, LLC donated materials and labor to construct the library. The Firek Family painted and installed the library at the ball field in Plain Grove at 832 Plain Grove Road, Volant. Organizers hope to see many more libraries popping up in the area soon.
