CMT’s ‘Redneck Wedding’ to include local truck night
Truck Night at Yankee Lake was not just a place for mud and beer last Friday night; it was also the site of filming for Country Music Television.
Blair Miller and Sabrena Kozik are engaged to be married on July 5 in Columbus, Pa., and Kozik said they have been chosen to be on CMT’s “My Big Redneck Wedding.” The program features couples who plan unique country-western style weddings that include anything from shotgun salutes to mud wrestling. Footage from their night at Yankee Lake will be included in the couple’s portion of the show.
Miller and Ms. Kozik met in 2003 when they were deer hunting. Their grandfathers had been good friends years ago and used to spend time together at taverns in their hometown.
Kozik, 44, is a food broker in Buffalo, N.Y., and her fiance, 40, drives a vacuum truck for Miller Brine & Septic Service. Miller also runs Cornfield 500, a motor sports park in Columbus similar to the one at Yankee Lake.
CMT will follow the couple around for the week prior to the wedding, filming for the show that could possibly air next season, Ms. Kozik said.
She added that some of the wedding party will arrive at the ceremony in a Ford Excursion limousine and the newlyweds will leave in a car like the General Lee from “The Dukes of Hazzard.” Both vehicles are being provided by truck night officials.
