Hampden Ave., Aurora, Colo., formerly of South Pymatuning Township, passed away at 11:05 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2008, in Cherry Creek Retirement Village after a brief illness. He was 87.

Ex-South Py man worked at WE, enjoyed farming


AURORA, Colo. — Charles Martin Roncaglione, Cherry Creek Retirement Village, 14555 E. Hampden Ave., Aurora, Colo., formerly of South Pymatuning Township, passed away at 11:05 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2008, in Cherry Creek Retirement Village after a brief illness. He was 87.

Mr. Roncaglione was born on Sunday, June 27, 1920, in Linesville to Charles M. Roncaglione Sr. and Agnus cq Hoffman Roncaglione.

He was a graduate of Linesville High School Class of 1938.

Charles was a group leader and instructor at the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp., having worked on huge electrical transformers.

He enjoyed farming with his John Deere tractors, operating a sawmill, making maple syrup and visiting with family and friends.

His wife, the former Evelyn Lucille Burt, whom he married on Feb. 7, 1943, passed away on Jan. 21, 1990.

Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Judith) Glotfelty, Aurora; two daughters-in-law, Barbara Roncaglione, West Middlesex; and Diana Elrod, Fern Park, Fla.; three sisters, Mildred Irons, Linesville; Mrs. David (Mabel) Baker, Harmonville, Pa.; and Mrs. Don (Dorothy) Rose, Ashtabula, Ohio; and three brothers, Robert Roncaglione, Greenville; Harry Roncaglione, Kingsville, Ohio; and Jim Roncaglione, Linesville.

He also leaves his grandchildren, Troy, Keefe and Jody Roncaglione; Christopher and David Roncaglione; Rebecca and David Glotfelty; and Mrs. James (Jennifer) Ralph; and two great-grandchildren, Aidan Roncaglione and Jacob Ralph.

Besides his wife, Charles was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Richard and Donald Roncaglione; a brother, Irl Roncaglione; and a sister, May Roncaglione.

Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Sperry C. Hogue, pastor of the Church of Christ, Hermitage, officiating.

Interment: West Side Cemetery, South Pymatuning Township.
