Published May 02, 2008 01:34 pm - James “Jim” R. Dunn Jr. of 34 Laird Ave., Wheatland, passed away unexpectedly at 4:34 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2008, in the emergency room of Sharon Regional Health System, where he was taken after a sudden heart attack at home. He was 55.

James “Jim” R. Dunn Jr. of 34 Laird Ave., Wheatland, passed away unexpectedly at 4:34 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2008, in the emergency room of Sharon Regional Health System, where he was taken after a sudden heart attack at home. He was 55.
Mr. Dunn was born May 31, 1952, in Sharon, an only son of James R. Dunn Sr. and Shirley Smiley Dunn.
A lifelong area resident, he was a 1970 graduate of Farrell High School.
Jim served with the National Guard for a brief period and was employed by Tony’s Auto Parts, Masury.
He previously worked as a supervisor at the former Specialized Treatment Services for 18 years.
He attended Wheatland-Farrell United Methodist Church.
Jim was an avid sports enthusiast and an ardent Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavaliers fan. He looked forward to football season and attending all of the Cleveland Browns’ home games with his mother.
A family man, Jim enjoyed traveling on family trips to Treasure Lake, DuBois, Pa.; Disneyland and baseball games. Jim and his son Alex were loyal and faithful followers of the Cleveland Indians.
A beloved husband, father and son, he is survived by: his wife, the former Maribeth Kendzor, whom he married Feb. 22, 1991; two sons, Alexander J. Dunn and Evan J. Dunn, all at home; and his mother and father, both Wheatland.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Service: Funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. David M. Davis, pastor of Wheatland-Farrell United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment: St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hermitage.
