MONROVIA, Calif. — Jessie Herman, Monrovia, born as Roberta Jessie Caldwell on July 13, 1938, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008.
Of all the friends e’er I had, they’re sorry for my going away, And all the lovers e’er I had, they wish me one more day to stay,
But since it falls unto my lot that I should go and you should not,
I’ll gently rise and softly call, goodnight and joy be to you all.
So fill to me the parting glass,
Goodnight and joy be to you all.
This courageous, talented, wise and elegantly beautiful woman was the daughter of Alberta Black and John Caldwell and a 1956 graduate of Sharpsville High School.
She was the proud mother of Jill and Ian Feltovich and grandmother of the truly delightful Isabel Dummer. Her sisters are Judy Nelson, Irene O’Neill and Molly Caldwell.
She was the beloved companion of Robert Gomez.
A celebration of her life will be held May 17 at her home in Monrovia, Calif. All who loved her will be welcome.
In her memory, please support your local artists, reduce your carbon footprint and do all you can for world peace.
