Published May 08, 2008 02:41 pm - A memorial service will be held at a later date for Ronald “Ron” Jay Rogers of Grove City, formerly of 106 Pierce Avenue, Sharpsville. He passed away unexpectedly at 2:30 p.m. Monday (5-5-08) in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness. He was 59.

A memorial service will be held at a later date for Ronald “Ron” Jay Rogers of Grove City, formerly of 106 Pierce Avenue, Sharpsville. He passed away unexpectedly at 2:30 p.m. Monday (5-5-08) in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness. He was 59.

Mr. Rogers was born June 14, 1948, in Youngstown, a son of Jay L. and Ruth E. Buckley Rogers.

Ron enjoyed fishing and golfing in his earlier years. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, his friends and the staff at Trinity Living Center, Grove City. Ron also enjoyed his sister Joyce’s cooking and watching sci-fi movies.

His accomplishments were many, his needs were “special” and his complaints few. He was known as a kind guy and a pleasure to be with. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him.

Surviving are: his beloved mother, Ruth E. Lesosky, Hermitage; his father, Jay L. Rogers and his wife Edith, Canfield, Ohio; sister, Joyce Baldarelli and her husband, Levio Baldarelli Jr., Hermitage; a nephew, Levio Baldarelli III; and nieces, Lauren and Elise Baldarelli.

Ron was preceded in death by his stepfather, Joseph Lesosky; and his grandparents, aunts and uncles.
