A funeral service will be held Friday for Rose Ann Kolbrich, 157 Carrier Road, Transfer. She passed away at 4:39 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008, in UPMC Horizon, Farrell, after a sudden illness. She was 76.
Mrs. Kolbrich was born on Friday. March 4, 1932, in Masury to George E. and Weva R. Harps Riggs.
She was a member of Transfer Baptist Church.
A homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, baking and the time spent with her family, to whom Rose was an excellent caregiver.
Her husband, Robert Kolbrich, whom she married Sept. 3, 1949, survives at home in Transfer.
Also surviving are: a daughter, Judith L., wife of Jeffrey Custer, Germantown, Ohio; two sons, Robert D. Kolbrich and his fiancée Roxann Armstrong, Hughesville, Pa.; and Daniel L. Kolbrich and his wife Pamela J., Transfer; a brother, Robert Riggs and his wife Mary, Florida; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Kuchmak; a brother, George Riggs; and an infant granddaughter, whose surname was Custer.

Service: Funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Friday (7-4-08) in the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Melanoski, pastor of First Baptist Church, Transfer, officiating.
Interment: Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage.
