Frederick L. Blom of 130 McDowell Road, Transfer, died at 9:38 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2008, in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness. He was 58.

Mr. Blom was born Oct. 30, 1949, in Grove City to Peter H. and Irene Redmond Blom.

He graduated from high school in Bloomfield, Ohio.

Mr. Blom was employed as a truck driver.

He is survived by: his stepfather, James Kolegraf, Sharon; a son, Daniel Blom and his wife Lisa, Newton Falls, Ohio; two daughters, Paula Olexa and her husband Tim, Transfer; and Tracy Blom, Fleetwood, N.C.; a sister, Sharon Leipheimer, Madison, Ohio; four grandchildren, Zachary, Taylor, Jeremy and Kaylee; and his former wife, Joanne Stallard, Sharpsville.
