Sarah J. Wheaton, 339 E. Jamestown Road, West Salem Township, passed away at 11:49 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, in UPMC Horizon, Greenville, after a brief illness. She was 79.
Mrs. Wheaton was born Nov. 18, 1928, in Hermitage to Paul E. and Edna J. Trump Wheaton.
She worked for many years in the area in food service and was loved by all around her.
Among her hobbies in retirement, Sarah loved to play bingo and cards and do puzzles. She had a large collection of porcelain dolls.
She will be remembered for being very social and the love she shared with her friends family.
Sarah is survived by: her two sons, Kenneth C. Wheaton and John E. Wheaton, both Farrell; two brothers; Gary Wheaton and his wife Lucy, Greenville; and Larry Wheaton and his wife Jane, West Middlesex; and two sisters; Edna Mae Minner, Florida; and Nancy Snyder and her husband Ron, New Castle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Betty Carlo; and four brothers, Paul, Harry and Harvey Wheaton; and an infant, Dick Wheaton.

Service: Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Glenn Sadler of St. Paul Homes, West Salem Township, officiating.
Burial: Followed at Mount Washington Cemetery, Jefferson Township.
