LEESBURG, Fla. – Tom Howard Youngblood of Leesburg passed away on Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, in his home, at the age of 70.
Mr. Youngblood was born Jan. 19, 1938, in Meadville to Thomas J. and Lottie R. McClimans Youngblood.
Tom served in the Navy.
A past master of Free and Accepted Masons Tropical Lodge 56 in Fort Myers, he was a 33rd degree Scottish Rite and was a past patron of the Fort Myers Chapter 31 of Order of the Eastern Star. Tom belonged to the York Rite.
Since the age of 12, he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America.
Tom retired as a telecommunications manager from Sprint.
He relocated to Florida, living in Fort Myers for many years, then moved to Leesburg (Fla.) in 1984.
He is remembered by: his loving wife, Mary Jane; his sons, Kevin Lee Youngblood, Gainesville, Fla.; and Brian Scott Youngblood, Leesburg, Fla.; a sister, Karen Youngblood, Otto, N.C.; and four grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Lake Square Presbyterian Church, 10200 Morningside Drive, Leesburg, FL 34788; or Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation, 12902 Magnolia Drive, UTC-FOUND, Tampa, FL 33612.
