Published August 08, 2008 10:03 am - BUFFALO, N.Y. – Charles Henry Reigelman, Buffalo, formerly of Greenville, died Monday morning (8-4-08) in Millard Fillmore Hospital. He was 93.

Ex-Greenville man was buyer for Buffalo company


BUFFALO, N.Y. – Charles Henry Reigelman, Buffalo, formerly of Greenville, died Monday morning (8-4-08) in Millard Fillmore Hospital. He was 93.

Mr. Reigelman was born Nov. 8, 1914, in New Castle to Frank and Ruth Amy Reigelman.

He was an alumnus of Thiel College, Greenville, and the University of Pittsburgh.

Charles was an Army veteran and a retail buyer for William Hengerer Co., based in Buffalo.

His hobbies included history, birds, gardening, stamps and coins.

Charles never met a person who wasn’t his friend. He will be deeply missed by all.

He was the beloved, devoted husband for 70 years of the former Margaret N. Nugent of Sharon, whom he married Oct. 22, 1937; loving father of Sandra, wife of David Wolkenberg; Thomas Reigelman, husband of Sandi; Charles H. Reigelman Jr.; John Reigelman, husband of Kathleen; William Reigelman, husband of Joyce Strazzabosco; Sue Ann, wife of Robert Preller; and Frank Reigelman, husband of Drue.

He also leaves 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James Reigelman, husband of Florence; and Richard Reigelman, husband of Shirley.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Learning Disability Association of Western New York, 2555 Elmwood Ave., Kenmore, N.Y. 14217.
