Published August 20, 2008 02:17 pm - Reno J. Petuch, 646 S. Third St., Sharpsville, passed away at 3:24 a.m. Tuesday (8-19-08) in the hospital of the Sharon Regional Health System following a brief illness. He was 94.

Reno J. Petuch, 646 S. Third St., Sharpsville, passed away at 3:24 a.m. Tuesday (8-19-08) in the hospital of the Sharon Regional Health System following a brief illness. He was 94.
Mr. Petuch was born Jan. 21, 1914, in Farrell, a son of the late Joseph and Josephine Bruno Petuch.
He served with the U.S. Army from April 1942 to November 1945 during World War II with the 505th Parachute Infantry of the 82nd Airborne Division.
Mr. Petuch retired in 1977 from the former Shenango Inc., Sharpsville.
He was a longtime member of St. Bartholomew Church, Sharpsville; and a member of the Shenango Retirees’ Association Inc.
His hobbies included woodworking and oil painting.
Surviving are: his wife at home, the former Anna M. Rosa, whom he married April 16, 1942 in St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Sharpsville, with the late Father George Shea, former pastor, as celebrant; a daughter, Carol and her husband, Dr. Eugene Rissanen, Westerville, Ohio; a son, James Petuch, Boardman, Ohio; a grandson, Aaron Petuch and his wife, Tracey, Wesley Chapel, Fla.; three granddaughters, Holly and her husband, Michael Ross, Dublin, Ohio; Amy and her husband, George Stringer, Lewis Center, Ohio; and Noelle Petuch, Boardman; four great-grandsons, Kyle, William and Collin Stringer, all Lewis Center; and Nicholas Ross, Dublin. He is also survived by several sisters.
Besides his parents, Mr. Petuch was preceded in death by his stepmother and several brothers and sisters.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Bartholomew Church, 311 W. Ridge Ave., Sharpsville, 16150.

Interment: St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hermitage, with military honor’s rendered by the Sharon Honor Guard.
