Published August 29, 2008 01:53 pm - Margaret Shebeck, 1289 Bend Road, Lackawannock Township, passed away peacefully at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, in her residence after an extended illness. She was 67.

Margaret Shebeck, 1289 Bend Road, Lackawannock Township, passed away peacefully at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, in her residence after an extended illness. She was 67.

A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Shebeck was born Sunday, May 18, 1941, in Sharon, the daughter of George and Jennie F. Korab Wansor.

She worked as a self-employed personal care provider in many homes throughout the area.

She was a former member of Wheatland-Farrell United Methodist Church, Wheatland.

Mrs. Shebeck was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the former Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 327, Sharon.

In her early years, she enjoyed archery and modeling and was a dance instructor at the former Arthur Murray Dance Studio, Sharon.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family at their mountain retreat and playing cards with her granddaughters.

Her husband, Richard F. Shebeck, passed away in 1977.

She leaves: six daughters, Tina M. Wilson, Wheatland; Tammy L. Parrish, Masury; Tonja Vasconi, Sharon; Terresa “Teri” M. Keck and her husband William, Mercer; Trisha L. Campbell, Sharpsville; and Loretta A. Barbieri and her husband David, Hermitage; one stepdaughter, Stephanie L. Clark and her husband Brian, Brookfield; a stepson, Stephen “Stevie” M. Reese, Mercer; two sisters, Laura Porterfield and her husband Jerry; and Sandra Newton; and two brothers, Joseph “Moe” Wansor and his wife Shirley; and James Wansor, all Sharon; and 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, George W. “Sonny” Wansor; and a sister, Gloria Kettering.

Calling hours: 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday (8-30-08) in J. BRADLEY McGONIGLE FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Service: Funeral service at 1 p.m. Sunday (8-31-08) in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Richard N. Carlson, pastor of Wheatland-Farrell United Methodist Church, Wheatland, officiating.

Interment: St. Rose’s Cemetery, Hermitage.
