OIL CITY — Myron “Bird” Purich, Lamor Road, Mercer, passed away at 10:58 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, in Golden Living Center, Oil City, after an extended illness. He was 55.
Mr. Purich was born May 1, 1953, in Mercer, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mylan Purich.
He graduated from Mercer High School.
He worked for Blaine Forbes Excavating, New Castle, as a heavy equipment operator.
Mr. Purich loved spending time in the woods. He also enjoyed farming.
He is survived by: six children, Ezra Saye, Oil City; Brandi Porter and her husband Joshua, Franklin; Justin Purich and his fiancée Shannon Taylor, Franklin; Gabriel “Boone” Purich, Oil City; Michelle Purich, New York; and Shiela Purich, Connecticut; a special friend, Debra Smith, Oil City; a brother, Tom Purich; and three grandchildren, Harley Carbaugh, Avery Purich and Jersie Porter, all Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mylan Purich.
