Published October 10, 2008 02:49 pm - Frank Novince of Hubbard passed away at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, in Hospice of the Valley, Poland, Ohio. He was 79.

Frank Novince of Hubbard passed away at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, in Hospice of the Valley, Poland, Ohio. He was 79.

Mr. Novince was born Dec. 31, 1928, in Dary, Mercer County, W.Va., to John and Frances Herlavic Novince.

He retired from Shenango Inc. in Buffalo, N.Y., where he was a chipper and mold maker.

An Air Force veteran, Mr. Novince served in the Korean conflict.

He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Hubbard.

As an avid sports fan, Frank enjoyed baseball and football, particularly the Buffalo Bills.

His wife, the former Dorothy Daff, preceded him in death.

Surviving are his sister, Frances Leason, Indiana; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife, Frank was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Rudy, John, George, Matt and Anthony Novince; and a sister, Katie Petrovic.

NOVINCE

Frank, 79, Hubbard.

Service: Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Friday (10-10-08) in St. James the Apostle Church, Route 422 West, New Bedford, with the Rev. John Rebel, pastor, as celebrant.

Interment: Hubbard Union Cemetery, 210 Oakdale St.

Arrangements by SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 3126 Main St., West Middlesex.
