Paul M. Fetsko, 1505 Charles St., Hermitage, passed away peacefully in his home Sunday (11-1-09) from complications of polio. He was 76.

Mr. Fetsko was born June 25, 1933, in Farrell, a son of the late Michael and Mary Sedlacko Fetsko.

A lifelong area resident, he was a 1951 graduate of Farrell High School. Until recently, he enjoyed attending his class reunion breakfasts, where he reminisced with lifelong friends.

Paul took pleasure in his occupation as an engineer with Household International, Warren, Ohio, and retired in 1980.

He was a member of the former St. Ann’s Church, Farrell, where he was an altar boy in his youth.

Paul loved football and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also followed the Penn State Nittany Lions and high school football. His favorite quarterback was Joe Namath of the New York Jets.

Earlier in his life, when his sons were young, he assisted with programs for the Boy Scouts of America.

He enjoyed putting puzzles together and playing card and board games with family and friends. Paul also enjoyed traveling and would often take day trips without a destination in mind. His most memorable trips were often spontaneous.

Paul, who was beset with polio at age 9, lived to enjoy his children and family. He was a devoted and faithful father and will be remembered by his family for his loving, caring and generous ways. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are: his wife of 54 years, the former Josephine M. Milano, whom he married Nov. 19, 1955, in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell, by the late Monsignor Geno Monti; six children, Paula J. Seiple and her husband David A., Hubbard; Carl Fetsko and his wife Lori, Mayfield Heights, Ohio; Stephanie J. Fetsko, Hermitage; Wayne Fetsko and his wife Terri, Enola, Pa.; Mary Fetsko and her fiancé Jeff Tolone, Hubbard; and Renee Bernabe and her husband Louis, Transfer; 12 grandchildren, Michael, Harry, Paul, Gary, Denise, John, Charlene, Veronica, Marc, Rebecca, Kim and Louis III; nine great-grandchildren, Kira, Taylor, Skylar, Jaina, Nathan, Brandon, Kassidy, Kamara and Austin; a sister, Patricia Gergely, Dunedin, Fla.; many loving nieces and nephews; and other family members.

Besides his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Fetsko; a sister, Frances Balzic; and a great-grandson, Dylan Steele.
