A memorial service will be held Friday for Walter C. Zuschlag, Clepper Manor, Sharon, formerly of Greenville. He died Saturday morning (11-14-09) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 85.
Mr. Zuschlag was born Nov. 3, 1924, in Greenville to Arthur R. and H. Marie Jewell Zuschlag.
He was raised and educated in Greenville and worked as a farmer all of his life on the family farm in West Salem Township.
Walter was a member of the Salvation Army Corps, Sharon, where he was a welcome sergeant and enjoyed attending the Friday senior programs.
He never married and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Dorothy L. Brown and Elmo J. McLaughlin.

Service: Memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday (11-20-09) in the chapel of Salvation Army Corps, Fisher Hill, Sharon, with Majors Stan and Gayle Senak officiating.
Interment: Rock Ridge Cemetery, West Salem Township.
