Joseph “Joe” Arthur Mikulin of 15 Pierce Ave., Sharpsville, passed away at 11:38 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, in his residence. He was 32.
Mr. Mikulin was born Nov. 14, 1977, in Farrell, a son of Steven and Rose Marie Truchan Mikulin.
He graduated from Sharon High School in 1996 and went on to earn his associate’s degree in mechanical engineering from ITT Technical School, Youngstown.
Joe worked as a dock worker for Estes Express Line, West Middlesex, for the past five years.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter, loved spending time in the outdoors, and enjoyed woodworking.
Most of all, Joe loved his family and friends, and was a wonderful father, husband, son and brother.
Survivors include: his wife, the former Dai Ann James, whom he married May 7, 2005; two sons, Lucas Joseph and Kaleb James Mikulin, both at home; his mother, Rose Marie and her husband Thomas McClimans, Hermitage; his father, Steven Mikulin and his wife Cindy, Sharpsville; a brother, Ryan Steven Mikulin, Hermitage; his maternal grandparents, Arthur and Stephanie Truchan, Hermitage; and his paternal grandmother, Nancy Kapec, Hermitage.
He is also survived by his dog, Bailey.
Joseph was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Steve Mikulin; and a paternal stepgrandfather, Carl Kapec.
Memorial contributions may be made for an education fund for his children through Shenango Valley Foundation, 33 Chestnut Ave., Sharon, PA 16146.

Service: Funeral service at 5 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Albert Librizzi, pastor of Barnstone Ministries, New Bedford, officiating.
Interment: Cremation will take place following the service in the funeral home crematory.
