---- — A funeral service will be held Tuesday for Georgia Mae Crosby, a longtime resident of 111 Fleetwood Court, Wheatland. She passed away at 3:35 p.m. Thursday (4-29-10) in her home surrounded by her family. She was 93.

Mrs. Crosby was born Nov. 3, 1916, in Dublin, Ga., to Frank and Lula Butler.

She attended Dublin schools and was a housekeeper for several families in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Crosby was a member of Valley Baptist Church in Farrell and enjoyed sewing, fishing and gardening.

Her husband, the Rev. Booker T. Crosby, whom she married April 29, 1958, passed away Sept. 14, 1993.

As a pastor’s wife, Mrs. Crosby supported her husband’s pastoral leadership and ministry while serving as first lady of First Baptist Church in Youngstown; Shiloh Baptist Church, Struthers, Ohio; and Second Baptist Church, Homestead, Pa.

Surviving are: a son, Robert L. Bloodsaw and his companion Candy Whippo, Wheatland; a daughter, Jessie Brandt, Ashland, Ohio; her five grandchildren, Brittiany Johnson, Ashley Jefferson and Mikayla Bloodsaw; and Alice Brandt and Dan Brandt, both Ashland; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Crosby was preceded in death by her parents and six sisters, Willie Mae, Nellie, Adella, Marie, Annie Pearl and Christine.

Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
