Melenia Marie Bierworth

West Salem mother was devoted to son, nephew

A funeral service will be held Wednesday for Melenia Marie Bierworth of 69 S. Summit Road, West Salem Township. She passed away at 8:58 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2008, in Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Interstate 80 in Lackawannock Township. She was 27.

Miss Bierworth was born on Oct. 22, 1980, in Warren, Ohio, a daughter of Harry E. Bierworth of Sharon; and Linda M. Osborne Derr, with whom she resided.

She attended Reynolds schools and graduated from Joseph Badger School District in Kinsman, Ohio. After high school, Melenia attained a legal secretarial degree from Trumbull Business College in Warren.

As a child, she attended Liberty Bible Church in Vienna, Ohio.

She previously worked at Imperial Dry Cleaners in Sharon; Aulizio’s Banquet Center and Catering in Warren; and Kraftmaid Cabinetry Inc., Orwell, Ohio.

Melenia enjoyed reading, playing basketball and music. She loved her son dearly and cherished the time spent with him. She was very active in Bobby’s life, volunteering for various school projects at Badger Elementary School in Kinsman, and coaching his Badger soccer team.

Melenia also had a great love for her nephew, Keith, and the time she spent with him.

In addition to her father and mother, she is survived by: her stepfather, Jerry L. Derr, at home; a companion, Robert R. Coller Sr., Burghill, Ohio; a son, Robert “Bobby” R. Coller II, Greenville; two sisters: Melissa Mizicko, Sharon; and Maygen Bierworth, Greenville; two brothers: Harry E. Bierworth III, Cortland, Ohio; and Joshua Bierworth, Greenville; a stepbrother, John Derr, Hubbard, Ohio; her maternal grandmother, Donna Osborne, Fowler, Ohio; paternal grandfather, Harry Bierworth Sr., Clark; stepgrandmother, Leona Derr, Greenville; and nephew, Keith Mizicko II, Hermitage.

Melenia was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Lawrence B. Osborne; paternal grandmother, Janet L. Bierworth; stepgrandfather, George Derr; a brother-in-law, Keith Mizicko Sr.; and a niece, Amber Mizicko.
