Cattron retiree formerly lived in Sharpsville

---- — A funeral service will be held Thursday for Carol Ann Mehler of 525 Dutch Lane, Hermitage, formerly of Hall Avenue, Sharpsville. She passed away at 1:40 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2010, in her residence. She was 66.

Mrs. Mehler was born Nov. 3, 1943, in Sharon, a daughter of George and Thelma Doyle Mathewson.

She was a graduate of Sharpsville High School.

Carol retired after more than 20 years of service as an administrative assistant for Cattron Communications.

Mrs. Mehler cherished the time she spent with family and friends. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by: four children, Robert Mehler and his wife Nicole, Sharpsville; Debbie and her husband John Vannoy, Sharon; Scott Mehler and his wife Julie, Sharpsville; and Gary Mehler and his wife Rebecca, Louisville, Ohio; a sister, Evelyn “Edge” and her husband Pete Morris, Sharon; a brother, Robert Mathewson and his wife Jackie, Littleton, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Vannoy; Kayla Mehler, Lauren Mehler, George Mehler; and Nina and Eric Mehler; and five special nieces and nephews, David and Becky Morris; Lisa Mehler; and Brian and Kimberly Mathewson.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Caron Foundation, Box 150, Wernersville, PA 19565.
